2024年に予定されている英検の新形式出題、「要約」問題に関する記事となります。

実際にこの形式の問題が出題されるのはまだしばらく先ではありますが、
現在あざみ野校では夏期講習中ということもあり、開講されている英検２級対策クラスで受講生にサンプル問題を早速解いてもらいました！
結果的には全体的に皆さん苦戦していました…
（書かれていないことが記されていたり、うまく全体のまとめにはなっていなかったり…）

以前、あざみ野校ブログでは準１級の要約問題の生成AIサンプル解答を紹介しましたが、
今回は２級の要約問題の生成AI解答例を２通り紹介してみます。

154語の文章を約３分の１の45～55語（約50単語）で要約させる問題となっています。

いかがでしたでしょうか？全体の意味を保持しつつ文字数を減らすには、要点を正確に捉える認識力や、別の単語や言い回しを駆使して簡潔に言い換える能力が求められます。元の文章のどの部分が中核的な内容として処理されているのか？原文と言い換え後では単語や言い回しがどのように変化しているかに着目してみましょう。
