私は時折、「発問力」が重要という話を授業でします。
良い生徒は「良い質問」をし、その「良い質問」が「良い解説」を引き出し「役に立つ授業」になってくる、と。

その「発問力」が生成系AIの台頭で質的に変容してしまいました。
これまでの「人間が他の人間に質問する」という行為が、
「人間が人工知能（AI）にプロンプト（prompt）を与える」という行為も含めるようになったのです。

これからの時代、有用な情報を得るために効果的なプロンプトを考えるという「新・発問力」が求められてきそうです。

たとえば、英語の講師として、文法解説の一環である種の文法事項を用いた用例がいくつか欲しいとします。
しかし、電子辞書で用例検索をしても、参考書を開いても、インターネットで検索してもなかなか求めている用例に出会えなかったとします。（英語のウェブサイトで調べればヒットすると思いきや、複雑すぎる長文に含まれており、簡約な用例が必要な授業のニーズに合わないことがあります。）英語を母国語にする人物に聞いても、あまり良い例を思いついてくれないこともあります……

ところが、生成系AIを用いることで次のような用例をリストアップしてくれます。
Give me 20 example sentences that start with To-infinitive that means a condition in each sentence (as in To hear her speak English, you would take her for an American.)
【注意：求めている情報を得るためには、条件を明確にする必要があります。上記の例ですと、ただto不定詞を用いた「条件」を表す文を～とすると、目的を表している用例がたくさんヒットしてしまいましたが、as in … と例をAIに与えて探させると求めている情報を大量に出力してくれました。】

2. To see him run, you would think he was a professional athlete.
3. To taste this dish, you would never guess it’s vegan.
4. To read her work, you would think she had been writing for years.
5. To look at this painting, you would never know it was done by a child.

12. To see her artwork, you would never know she’s only 10 years old.
13. To try this yoga pose, you would never guess it’s a beginner’s level.
14. To hear his story, you would think he’s lived a thousand lives.
15. To watch this movie, you would never guess it was made on a low budget.
16. To taste this wine, you would think it was aged for years.
17. To see her garden, you would never know she lives in the middle of the city.
18. To listen to this podcast, you would think it was recorded in a professional studio.
19. To try this makeup, you would never guess it’s cruelty-free.
20. To read this book, you would think it was written by a Nobel laureate.

英語教育の方法論が私の中で「異次元に」移行してしまった感じがします。

もちろんアウトプットされた情報の妥当性の確認は人間側の作業として必要ではありますが、
AIが生成した内容の正確性を人間がチェックするというプロセスを経るのであれば、
これまで以上に良質で圧倒的な量の教育素材を入手することか可能になりました。
